Why you'll love working here

You might be the person who is leading the AI here. You will make critical architectural decisions that shape tarkio.ai’s success. You will own the entire ML pipeline. You will wear many hats here like that of researcher, data engineer, backend integrator. You will be solving problems that are real, haven’t been solved properly yet and you will solve them on scale. Part of the work is also to experiment with the latest models.

What we're looking for

  • entrepreneurial mindset—curious, a learner. experiments with things under the hood
  • deep understanding of how LLMs work internally—training, inference, tokenization, attention mechanics, optimization tricks, all the good stuff
  • has used AI to solve actual real-world problems (not just Kaggle)
  • familiar with the latest techniques—LoRA, quantization, distillation, RAG, agents, evaluators, memory systems, model debugging
  • strong grounding in computer science, algorithms, and systems thinking
  • comfortable with open-source ecosystems
  • uses LLMs as a tool, not a crutch—knows how to push them to produce intended, reliable results
  • excited about creating AI that runs in production
  • some experience required—more is better, cooler is better
